Author Visits

Russ T. Fugal offers engaging author visits for elementary schools and public libraries, focused on inspiring young readers and writers through live storytelling, read-alouds, and interactive learning experiences.

What’s Included in a Visit?
  • Read-Aloud Sessions: Russ brings characters to life from his early chapter book Sara and the Pooka.
  • Web-App Demonstration: A hands-on look at the EAR e-reader in action, showcasing how it supports emergent readers.
  • Storytelling Workshop: A creative session that helps students shape and share their own stories.
  • Q&A with the Author: Students get a chance to ask questions about writing, creativity, and publishing.
Scheduling and Availability

Russ is based in Albany, NY, and offers in-person visits within a 3-hour drive as well as virtual visits via Zoom or Google Meet. Visits are available year-round and can be customized to fit your school or library’s needs.

Introductory visits may be available at no cost, especially for Title I schools or rural libraries. Travel reimbursement is appreciated for in-person visits.
